Lovethical is a small business that's dedicated to selling vegan beauty products from a range of cruelty-free brands (brands that do not test on animals).
I started the company for two main reasons. First and foremost, I wanted to help spread awareness about the fact that testing cosmetics on animals is still surprisingly common - particularly among many household name beauty companies - and I wanted to highlight businesses that are saying a firm 'no' to it instead. Secondly, I wanted to make it easier for people to support the ethical values that they care about when they're shopping. Therefore, on top of all of the products being vegan and cruelty-free, I've also made it easy for customers to identify and shop by a range of other ethical categories, such as plastic-free packaging, palm oil free, 100% vegan companies or companies that donate to charity.
My hope is that people can discover fantastic beauty products that they love, support small businesses, and avoid companies that test on animals - all in one go.
